Rappahannock Real Estate Resources evolved from The Buyer's Agency, which started in 1989. The name was changed in 2002 to reflect all phases of the real estate services we offer to our clients: marketing, listing, buyer representation, consulting and investment advice.
Rappahannock Real Estate Resources was the first company to recognize the advantages of 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and helped clients find properties and write contracts to effectively exchange properties.

About Butch Zindel, Broker
Butch
Zindel started a construction business in 1973 in Montgomery
County MD and obtained his real estate license in 1975. He
moved
to Rappahannock County in 1979, eventually transferring his license to Eileen Day Realtors in 1985. Butch earned his broker's license in 1990 and later
that year opened his own brokerage. He was active on the
local Board of Realtors from 1987 until they merged with Northern Virginia in 1995.
His construction experience has helped many clients with questions
about houses, driveways, septic systems, siting a house on a
parcel of land and excavation.
His service to the county on the Board of Zoning Appeals and
the Planning Commission has gained him knowledge on zoning, setbacks,
allowable uses, etc.
His reputation for honesty is well known throughout the county.
